Capital markets strategy sharpening

Purpose

A sharpening cycle is not a lighter re-run of the diagnosis. It replaces "diagnose from zero" with "test whether the prior diagnosis still holds given what changed", and it adds a requirement a first-time diagnosis has no basis for: accounting for the value already realized since the last cycle. Its output is the same in kind as the diagnosis — a diagnosis update and a prioritized, human-actionable next-step list — not a communications deck.

Output package

Everything the diagnosis produces (the client-facing update and the internal-only adviser action list), plus:

Deliverable Audience Content
Value-realized accounting Client company Every lever executed since the last cycle, with a quantified before/after or contribution figure, TSR-led
KPI scorecard status Client company Prior-cycle targets versus actual, distinct from the activity tracker
Carry-forward cross-reference log Capient adviser (internal) Any answer that already existed in the prior cycle and was resurfaced this cycle, with where it now lives

Sharpening-specific adviser action list additions: log any investor-meeting notes or objections not yet captured on the platform; confirm which platform-recorded KPIs anchor the carried-forward scorecard; confirm the corporate-action details (financing terms, closing date, synergy assumptions) needed for value-realized accounting if not yet on the platform.
