Interim report narrative

Purpose

Write the complete report body: every prose section the interim report carries beyond the highlights and the CEO quote. The assessment decided what the quarter means for the case; the highlights skill decided the front-page message and the CEO's words; this skill writes the report that carries them section by section, and it writes them so the report reads as the company's own.

It is a report narrative, not a company description and not an analysis. Every section restates the quarter against the company's own promise (the guidance register), against the market's expectation, and against the macro backdrop, and attributes causes only where a source states one. Assembly places this narrative verbatim into the cloned report's own frames; it never writes prose of its own.

Output package

Produce these top-level sections under these exact headings, in this order. The top-level headings are a machine contract; the section labels inside ## Report body are taken from the template. Assembly parses this document — never rename or merge the top-level headings.

  1. ## Report body — one ### <exact template section label> block per narrative section in the template, in template order. Under each block: the report-ready prose, then a nested Role: line (which role it fills) and a nested Provenance: line listing every claim's source tag (figure -> tied set; cause -> brief / disclosure / assessment; macro -> macro brief). Carried content (highlights, CEO quote) is placed verbatim and marked Role: carried.
  2. ## Coverage checklist — confirms the mandatory content was handled regardless of where the template places it: Guidance and outlook (where written), Subsequent events (where written, or "None (per brief)"), Risk change (where written, or "No material change"), and the routing of every assessment-flagged negative. A mandatory item absent here is a defect.
  3. ## Self-QA trace — the number -> source table, the cause -> source table, the quarter thesis, the open [brief input] markers and uncaused movers, and the one-line consistency and voice checks. State the reporting period by its canonical id (e.g. 2026-Q2) on the first line — assembly refuses a narrative it cannot date.
