Investor acquisition — Strategy (Phase 1)

Purpose

Understand the company, translate its equity story into investor language, assess the current shareholder base, and identify the first wave of investor leads through peer ownership analysis. This phase produces the strategic foundation for all targeting work in Phase 2.

Output package — Phase 1 deliverables

Produce the following at the end of Phase 1. These are passed as context to Phase 2.

Investment case summary 3–5 bullet investor-language summary, valuation drivers, objections, information gaps
Target ownership model Current vs target shareholder composition table with diagnosis
Shareholder diagnostic Top 20 holder table with type, risk assessment, and engagement notes
Peer ownership matrix Peer holdings overview with premium/discount designation
Initial investor lead list Funds holding premium peers but not the client, with rationale

Format outputs clearly with headers. Use tables throughout. Tag inferences as (Inferred) and missing data as (Data needed: [description]).
