Purpose
Produce the material Capient brings to a first substantive conversation with a prospective client: an outside-in reading of a listed target that says, on evidence, what the company is worth, why the market prices it differently, the handful of levers that would close the gap, and where Capient would focus. The document exists to earn the meeting and open the relationship, not to close a deal on paper. It is analytical, specific, and generous with the analysis — it shows Capient's thinking, it does not withhold it.
This is the capital markets diagnosis seen from the outside and turned toward a prospect. The engine is identical: quantify the valuation gap, then diagnose its causes across strategy/capital allocation, information, and investor base. What changes is the frame — the reader is the target's CEO, Chair, CFO or largest owner, not their own board — and the ending: the document names how Capient would help and shows one proof point, which a client-facing strategy document never does.
Output package
One document: the discussion material, Capient-branded, stored in the target's
workspace library. On completion, offer the natural next step: drafting the
outreach email (the target_outreach_email skill) that carries the same
evidence in first-touch form to the named recipient.
